init(from decoder: any Decoder) throws

Creates a new instance by decoding from the given decoder, when the type’s RawValue is String.

This initializer throws an error if reading from the decoder fails, or if the data read is corrupted or otherwise invalid.

  • Parameter decoder: The decoder to read data from.
init?(rawValue: String)

Creates a new instance with the specified raw value.

If there is no value of the type that corresponds with the specified raw value, this initializer returns nil. For example:

print(PaperSize(rawValue: "Legal"))
// Prints "Optional(PaperSize.Legal)"
print(PaperSize(rawValue: "Tabloid"))

  • Parameter rawValue: The raw value to use for the new instance.

Returns a Boolean value indicating whether two values are not equal.

Inequality is the inverse of equality. For any values a and b, a != b implies that a == b is false.

This is the default implementation of the not-equal-to operator (!=) for any type that conforms to Equatable.

    • rhs: Another value to compare.
